Dmitri Mazurov
composer, sound artist, video artist
Born in 1982 in Novosibirsk, Siberia. Started his first musical explorations in experimental electronics in 1999. Studied Theory of Music at the Novosibirsk Music College. In 2013 he moved to Moscow and began his career as a sound artist and a composer. Currently, Dmitri is working in the field of contemporary academic music, multichannel electroacoustics, experimental electronics.
He also composes music for film, theatre and performances. Refers to different fields of non-academic music (post-rock, free improvisation, techno, ambient and others).
Dmitri is a participant of international festivals and laboratories:
- inSonic festival, ZKM Center for Art and Media Technologies, Germany;
- Venice Biennale (in the framework of Natalia Alfutova`s project Faced2Faced);
- Cube fest, Virginia Polytechnic Institute, USA;
- Remusik festival, Saint Petersburg;
- "Another Space" festival, Moscow philharmonic;
- Gamma festival, Saint Petersburg;
- “Geometry of Now”, GES - 2, Moscow;
- Cosmoscow art festival;
- Synthposium;
and others.
